Getting started with Pondral

Add your first brand, set the questions you want to track, and run your first audit — in about five minutes.

Pondral measures whether your brand shows up when people ask AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok) questions in your space — and gives you the briefs to improve it. Here's the fastest path from signup to your first result.

1. Add a brand

From the dashboard, open Brands and add your brand: name, website, and industry, plus your main competitor. Each brand is tracked independently — its own competitors, questions, and audit history.

You can add more brands any time. The brand picker in the top bar switches which brand every page is showing, so you're always looking at one brand at a time rather than a blend.

2. Add the questions buyers ask

Open Prompts and add 5–10 questions your real buyers would type into an AI tool — for example 'best [your category] for [your industry]' or '[you] vs [competitor]'. Write them the way a buyer would, not in internal marketing language.

Browse the built-in prompt library for curated questions by industry and adapt them. You can add and remove prompts at any time; removing one keeps its history but stops future audits from including it.

3. Run your first audit

Open Monitoring and click 'Run audit now'. Pondral asks each AI engine on your plan the questions you set, with live web search enabled, and scores how each engine talked about your brand. It takes about a minute.

When it finishes, Overview and Engines show your AI Visibility Score, the per-engine breakdown, gaps where competitors beat you, and recommendations. See 'Reading your AI Visibility Score' to interpret the numbers.
