Getting started with Pondral

Pondral measures whether your brand shows up when people ask AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok) questions in your space, and gives you the briefs to improve it. Here's the fastest path from signup to your first result.

1. Add a brand

From the dashboard, open Brands and click '+ Add brand'. That opens the brand setup flow, where you enter the name, website, and industry, plus your main competitor. Each brand is tracked independently: its own competitors, questions, and audit history.

You can add more brands any time. The brand picker in the top bar switches which brand every page is showing, so you're always looking at one brand at a time rather than a blend.

2. Add the questions buyers ask

Open Prompts and add the questions your real buyers would type into an AI tool (your plan sets how many each brand can carry), for example 'best [your category] for [your industry]' or '[you] vs [competitor]'. Write them the way a buyer would, not in internal marketing language.

'Prompt library' suggests buyer questions for that brand from its industry and primary competitor — tick the ones worth tracking. 'Question panel' builds a whole versioned set from a vertical template that you edit and then lock. You can add, pause and remove prompts at any time. Pausing keeps a prompt's history and frees a slot; removing stops future audits from including it.

3. Run your first audit

Open Monitoring and click 'Run audit now'. Pondral asks each AI engine on your plan the questions you set, with live web search enabled, and scores how each engine talked about your brand. A full run across every engine usually takes a few minutes, and longer if you are tracking many questions.

When it finishes, Overview and Engines show your AI Visibility Score, the per-engine breakdown, gaps where competitors beat you, and recommendations. See 'Reading your AI Visibility Score' to interpret the numbers.
